I haven't used this journal in a while.
Today was my last day of work; Peggy wanted me to keep working for the rest of the summer, but I was actually kinda-sorta assertive for once in my life and told her that I just couldn't do it.
There's a rally in Washington DC on September 24th that I want to attend quite badly. Will ask my mom about it--bus tickets are only $100, and there's one leaving from Ashland. I couldn't go to the pro-choice rally in April.. so hopefully I'll make this one. Last time, I was *this close* to begging my mom for the $110 or whatever it was, and must've spent hours reassuring her that Adam and Carl were the most responsible human beings on the planet. Which is, of course, not entirely true--but close enough!

You are dependable, popular, and observant.
Deep and thoughtful, you are prone to moodiness.
In fact, your emotions tend to influence everything you do.
You are unique, creative, and expressive.
You don't mind waving your freak flag every once and a while.
And lucky for you, most people find your weird ways charming!

1. Reply with your name and I will write something I like about you.
2. I will then tell what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. If I were to apply an o'clock to you, I'll tell you what it would be.
4. I will try to name a single word that best describes you.
5. I'll tell you the most memorable moment I've had with you.
6. I will tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I'll then tell you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. Put this in your journal.

I really hate sunburn.
Am breaking out, which rarely happens. So now I'm sunburned and slightly pimply--lovely.
Pow-wow is this weekend.. but I don't think I'll be dancing. -_- I usually do, but.. not this year. It was sort of a personal decision, but I'm also expecting Aunt Flo (yay for metaphors) sometime within the next few days, so I won't risk it.
I've developed the habit of putting lyrics of the song I'm listening to in the subject lines of my posts. >.>

Have revised the list of colleges I shall apply to.
- Eugene Lang College (New School University--in NYC)
- Carnegie Mellon U (Pittsburgh, PA)
- U of Utah
- U of Oregon
Thinking about applying to Harvard. Still not sure whether or not I'm actually going to.
Come to think of it--a list of "maybes" (those that I either have to think about more or get more information about):
- U of Hartford (Connecticut)
- Emerson (Boston)
probably be edited more as the time comes to apply. But that's okay.
Also--Kaity said yesterday that ACT scores are in already, but I haven't checked the mail. *nervous* I'm really hoping I did well, because when I took it sophomore year it was all.. not good. :p Actually, the math part brought down my entire composite--and I'm slightly more confident about that section this time around. Ran out of time for the writing test, however, and worried that I didn't do very well on that.

May be going to New York in September/Octoberish!!1one, if my mother agrees to it. Airfare + bed in a hostel (very close to Central Park :D) for four nights = $339, which I'll definitely have saved up by the end of summer vacation; still thinking about other expenses (food--might bring some from home, transportation once I'm there, etc.). Will visit NYU, Eugene Lang College, and.. maybe other schools, too. Truth is, I just really want to go to NYC. :p
Would be perfect if all worked out an Quay could come with me. We'll see, though, I guess. *crosses fingers*
